T-FREE037: Histibe - "Microcosmos"
Histibe is a producer and DJ from Kyiv (Ukraine).
Under this name he has built up proper production skillz
and formed his own trademark sound within the past year.
The "Microcosmos" VIP has been released together with
"Latent Mirrors" on M-Atome Digital 001, "Connection"
was featured on the Ukrainian CD label Dnbsession Music,
the Histibe remix of amex + Kaiza's infamous "Sourcream"
will soon be released on Dnbsession Musics, and his tunes
are getting DJ support from artists such as D-Struct,
State Of Mind, NC-17, DJ Hektik, Kantyze and Budoka.
Today, Histibe is still a relatively unknown newcomer,
but be assured that this will change... You can expect
at least one vinyl release and further signings in 2008!

TILT008 delivers another solid Neurofunk tune by Darmstadt's finest aka Budoka, and a Techno influenced piece by Spinor, the very third guest artist on the label. It also brings some changes: the releases on this label will not have whitelabel promo runs anymore but come into the shops directly as full artwork copies instead. Then, 3 weeks after the vinyl release, the tunes are made available digitally. Also, there will be no more tunes by the amex + Kaiza duo because amex kicked himself out. Finally, the future is about to see more tunes by guest artists on Tilt-Recordings.
Spinor - "Moloch"
Located in the Netherlands, Spinor has earned respect in the world of Drum & Bass since 2004 with releases on Dreazz' Triple Vision labels Citrus, Love and Piruh, also he has put out a tune on Crossfire Recordings and on the netlabel T-FREE. Although Spinor is rather known for Neurofunk with deep, melodic pads and midranges, "Moloch" received a lot of respect in the Techno-DNB scene even before its release, even though Spinor is still a relatively new name to this sub genre of Drum & Bass. And now this monstertune has eventually found a proper home on Tilt-Recordings. The intro's dark atmosphere and driving beat make clear where the journey will go, and the powerful drop proves that there is just no alternative to high energy music. No need to say much more about "Moloch", it simply is a sure shot on the dancefloor.
Budoka - "Ritual"
This artist should be well known to people following the releases on Tilt-Recordings, since he was not only the first artist on this label but has also provided many of the tunes being released on it since T!LT#001 in 2003/2004. Also supporting the new digital media, he has put out a series of 3 x 3-EPs on T-FREE in the summer of 2007 (including the remastered "Whiplash" original from 2001 and other gems) and another tune on the well respected .shadybrain imprint in November 2007 ("Under Water"). Now on TILT008, Budoka continues the good work he has done with his former releases: "Ritual" is a phat and juicy Neurofunk DJ-tool with a heavily pumping bassline, decent midrange arrangements woven around oriental strings and a breakdown which surprisingly opens a window to a far out universe full of dark secrets.

In the past two years, Zardonic from Venezuela has made himself
a name to watch in the Drum & Bass scene. With two vinyl releases
on Death Brigade and Flexible Records, mp3 releases on Technorganic
and Foul Play, features on CD releases, a hell lot of free tunes and
netlabel releases (also some on his own netlabel Zardonic Recordings),
he has managed to establish himself not only on DOA but has also made
his way into playlists, record bags and hearts of Drum & Bass lovers.
Now in 2008 he has vinyl releases forthcoming on labels like Mindsaw,
Ohm Resistance, Venom Inc, Dark Asylum, Death Brigade and Molten Vinyl,
again several features on CD releases as well as more mp3 releases on
Mindsaw Digital, Suicide Watch, Digital Coma, MTZ Recordings...
Also watch out for interesting and surprising collabos in the future!

T-FREE034: Maztek - "Technologic"
Maztek from Rome in Italia was a guitarist and percussion player
and he was active in different styles like Techno and Trip Hop
before he focussed on Drum & Bass as a DJ, producer and promoter.
He has releases on Combat and Ninth Zone Records amongst other
mp3 labels, also a tune on the Transistor Technology CD release,
and he has more tunes forthcoming on Modulate Data in 2008.

T-FREE035: CJ Weaver - "Steel"
CJ Weaver might be known from his output on the infamous
Darkland imprint, but he also had a proper release on
DJ Zardonic's netlabel Zardonic Recordings in 2006.
"Steel" from his new generation of tunes is a subtle tool
in a minimal technoid style. On first listening it does
not apply the usual Drum & Bass standard sound, but when
played on the dancefloor it unveils it's real qualities.
An innovative detail is that this tune does not have normal
lead sounds but instead a metallic reverb/delay construction
which works with even less melody than the bassline.

T-FREE036: Tenebra - "Dominatrix"
Flame has made himself quite a name since T-FREE007 in 2006:
With two vinyl releases on Leet Recordings and Sudden Def Limited,
CD releases on Pride Recordings and Respect Records and with numerous
mp3 releases on labels such as Combat, Intersection, Flight, Utopia
and Soundkraft, he can no longer be called an unknown artist.
The tune "Dominatrix" by Tenebra (aka Flame and Lex) had been long
planned for the labels Microb and Lust Recordings which unfortunately
both never were realized, and so it is finally unleashed via T-FREE.

Tamas + Violent Skillz - "Internal Fear"
The honour of the 100th tune on T-FREE goes to Tamas and Violent Skillz, two young talents who have teamed up for this tune. Both are also producing on their own and also do collaborations with artists such as Soccom, Flame and others.
Tamas is from Austria, runs events in Innsbruck with his mates from the Bassintoxication crew and has been signed to the mp3 and vinyl label LAB and to Kano's Sinuous Recordings.
Violent Skillz from Hungary has also been signed by LAB and has tunes forthcoming on the Ohm Resistance imprint.

Last week, T-FREE-3EP021 should have been posted.
It didn't happen, but the tunes were released and

Budoka from the Phismaol Crew in Darmstadt, Germany,
is a DJ, producer and co-founder of Tilt-Recordings.
He has produced more than 60 Drum & Bass tunes since 2000,
and he had his debut release in 2004 (T!LT#001 vinyl).
Since then 9 tunes were released (7 on vinyl, 2 mp3s),
but unfortunately most of his works never saw a release.
Now he has remastered some of his older tunes for T-FREE:
these are the first and the second of three 3-EPs to come,
showing the history and development of Budoka as a producer.

Now, their remix of his "Pitch The Nature" is a proper cross genre collaboration. Originally a Techno tune, Amex + Kaiza transformed it into Drum & Bass, yet it is still more Schranz than Jungle: uncompromisingly hard and percussive, innovative and bouncing Techno-DNB.
Amex + Kaiza - "Shrinz" (Quadrant RMX)
Quadrant aka Texel and Cyanide need no introduction - they should be well known from their releases on the "Renegade Hardware" imprint of the infamous TOV Music Group company and on the highly respected Dutch Triple Vision inhouse label "Citrus". Quadrant's remix of Amex + Kaiza's "Shrinz" is a high quality DJ tool: Solid beat and percussion, juicy midranges, powerful bassline, deep atmo - a Neurofunk bomb, heavy and technoid but deeply musical at the same time.

T-FREE029: Pylon feat. Yabol + Structural - "Machinery Crossing"
Pylon, Yabol and Structural are a couple of friends from Lodz in
Poland. When thay met on a local electronic music online-forum,
Yabol had already been producing tunes, Pylon was doing his first
steps into production and Structural was one of the many newcomers
in the DJ scene. Now Pylon and Yabol have tunes signed to labels
like DSCI4, Venom Inc and Hate, Structural is playing regularly at
events throughout Poland, and with "Machinery Crossing" on T-FREE
they show their talent to the international Drum & Bass Scene.

T-FREE028: Dementia + NME Click - "Appendix"
"Appendix" is the first tune by Dementia under this name.
Formerly known as Insanity of Destination Unknown, Dementia
is not unknown anymore: with releases on .shadybrain, the
well respected label Citrus and with tunes forthcoming on
the legendary DSCI4 imprint, Flatline Audio and Basswerk
he already has his name marked on the Drum & Bass world map.
The NME Click are less known internationally, but in Germany
they have quite a name as the "the boygroup of Drum & Bass"
as well as releases on the Stuttgart based label Dimensions
and gigs everywhere - if there is a city in Germany they have
not played at, then it's just too small for Drum & Bass events.

kRoNe from the Surco crew in Spain is still relatively unknown to the
international Drum & Bass scene, but he's an upcoming fresh talent who
has a very deep athmospheric Neurofunk style with a lot of soul.
He has been producing since 1999 and started with Drum & Bass in 2001,
now his first vinyl release on the Spanish label Mutacube Records has
been out on Promo since May 2007, another tune is forthcoming on
Melting Pot and he is also signed to Mav's label/crew Scientific.

Destination Unknown + Insecticide - "Boulderdash"
Insecticide from Duisburg in Germany started producing Drum & Bass in 1998.
One year later he had his first release, a remix of Los Angeles based
Coco Street's tune Cosmic Butterfly, on NQ Entertainment.
He began deejaying in 2000 and focussed his selections on deep Drum & Bass.
Again one year later he joined the Subwoofercrew which hosted a radio show
on the local station and organized the party series Vibration since 2001.
Insecticide's musical influences range from Artists like Ravi Shankar,
Thievery Corporation, DJ Krush, Resistance D & CJ Bolland to Adam Freeland,
Matrix, Stakka & Skynet, Konflict, Dissident, Sinthetix and DJ EBK.
He has played alongside Artist such as Kubiks, Funk and Flex, Demus J,
Ragga Twins, Basstikal and so on, and production wise he looks back on
collaborations with artists such as Destination Unknown, Paperclip, Budoka,
Cut, Marauder, Hiten and Sniper.
Due to certain circumstances, Insecticide decided to leave the Drum & Bass
scene and on his way out he releases some of his unsigned tunes on T-FREE.

like Intersection, Darkitek, TAM, Soundkraft and Flight,
Flame again opens his vault for T-FREE to unleash tunes:
"Breakbone" (Flame VIP) and "The Shield" are from 2006
while "Phantoms" is slightly older (from early 2005).
Flame did them together with three collabo partners:
his long time production partner Lex (since 2003),
XZ32 from Belgium (also collabo partner since 2005) and
Atom from Puerto Rico (also see T-FREE022: "Medetina").

T-FREE025: Walder - "Thalleo"
Walder from Minsk in Belarus has already had releases
on the russian labels Respect Family and Macro Vision.
Today he has tunes signed to Intersection and Soundkraft,
also he is talking to well known labels about more releases.
The new generation of russian technoid Drum & Bass producrs
is coming - the scene sure hasn't heard the last of Walder.
