In year 2008 Tom has moved away from the break beat past and is forging ahead with a new tech-fuelled house and progressive sound, as Tom describes it ‘music to be played outdoors and preferably on very loud sound systems’ Tom will continue to produce tech funk and electro bangers with long time collaborator and friend The Rogue Element under their new ‘Disco Of Doom’ guise.
2010 has been a big year from international DJ & Producer Tom Real, focusing on his Disco Of Doom project alongside partner Ben Medcalf, the duo have been locked in the studio working on both original productions and a plethora of remixes which has garnered a massive amount of support from DJs such as BRODINSKI, MIXHELL, ETIENNE DE CRECY, DJ ZINC, ALEX METRIC, KISSY SELL OUT, PETE TONG, FAKE BLOOD, HERVE, DROP THE LIME and many more.
Remix-wise, the duo have torn apart CROOKERS, (southern fried) JAMES YUILL (moshi moshi), KELE (witchita) SILVER COLUMNS (moshi moshi), DAVID E SUGAR (sunday best), ETIENNE DE CRECY (Dim Mak / pixadelic), SWEN WEBBER (taste/d) ART VS SCIENCE (San City High) and SHAKE ALETTI (Moda) and 2011 shows no sign of the project slowing down.
On the DJ front, Tom has been DJing across the UK and Europe both under his Disco Of Doom and Tom Real monikers with standout sets at RAZZMATAZZ in Barcelona, GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL, SECRET GARDEN PARTY and PROGRESS in Czech Republic.

Rico Tubbs took Australia by storm on his November 2009 tour and bagged #5 in the ‘Best gig of the year” poll for Street Music magazine for his gig at The Espy in Melbourne. Riku (aka Bomfunk MC's) started with a boom 2002 on Menu music when the debut p-funk inspired fartbass anthem 12" "Flashlighter" was released. That opened the flood gates for steady flow of bassheavy party beats and remixes.
