JdotP isn't new in the bussines. He bought his first mixer and turntables at the age of 15, but it probably started even before that. He used to make his own "mix-cds" with a regular tape recorder simply by using play and pause buttons. When he began to DJ for real he hadn´t a specific style, everything that got the crowd cheering worked and gave him goose bumps. After some years he got tired to slave at regular commercial discos and the goose bumps stoped shoving up so he decided to turn more towards electronic beats and house. Nowdays JdotP plays a blend of tech-, electro- and progressive house with some influences from a bit darker and harder beats. Some people think he blends too many styles, JdotP only sees that as evolution and likes to blend different styles in his sets. 'Everything blends togheter like a juicy cocktail' he says. The last four to five years he has DJ with names like Deep Dish, Tiesto, Stonebridge, Joel Mull, Steve Angello, Eric Prydz, Behrouz among others at parties/ clubs like Cream, Mondaybar, Ministry of Sound, Fokused, Sundance music festival, Matrix (Ukraine), Club Tallinn (Est), Nightman (Est), Moskva (Est), Club red (Fin), Scandinavian music convention (Swe) and more. He has also been resident at Berns (one of the biggest nightclubs in Stockholm), Fokused and currently at Vardagsrummet, a small and cosy club run by him and Özgur Can every friday and saturday in Stockholm.
Nowdays JdotP also produces and release his tracks at Dumb recordings which is a part of 'The Dumb and Furry group' run by Dumb Dan, Özgur Can, Stian Klo and JdotP. His productions is a blend of electro and progressive house which attract a wide range of crowd and DJs. His productions are supported by DJs like Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Marco V, Flash brothers, Deepgrove, Ricky Ryan, Mashtronic, Jus'Phil, Özgur Can, Inkfish, Perry O Neil, David West, Niklas Harding among others. The first track 'Sharing is caring' was released in feb 2006 and the follow-up, 'Intrigue', got released in June the same year and was a coloboration between him, Özgur Can and Dumb Dan. One early version of that track called 'Pre-Intrigue' also got released the same summer much because of the fact that it got featured on Ricky Ryans Kiss100 guestmix at 'Transitions with John Digweed'.
In the near future JdotP is working on a few remixes and tracks but also with the Dumb recordings mix cd that he will put together for Sender recordings in Russia and Ukraine. We shouldn't forget the part he loves the most, to DJ as much as possible.
