BEAT ASSASINS
Wow! What a year 2007 has been for Wooz & Jimmy Mofo aka Beat Assassins. Their jump-up club smash
"Keeping It Jiggy" sold records all over the world (as did "Shake Down") while being voted breakbeat tune
of the month by Carl Loben in DJ Mag.
Beat Assassins' "Be-Bop Aloola" (also released on Mofo Recordings) hit No 1 in Jay Cunning's Kiss FM
chart (supplied by Know How Records) and went on to be the longest running track to remain in the Top 5
in the chart's history.
They have delivered mixes for the prestigious Annie Nightingales's Radio 1 show and Rennie Pilgrem's
Galaxy FM, while their productions have sustained a high profile leading to a recent Beat Assassins'
performance to 6000 people at the Floridance Festival in Spain. Gigs have come in from far afield from
Australia to Poland to Austria.
Their fourth release of 2007, "We Run Tings / Play The Game," caught the full attention of the breakbeat
movement and beyond. Tear-out spinners Breakfastaz, Ctlrl-Z and Ed209 caned We Run Tings as tech funk
DJs Rennie Pilgrem, Lady Wak, Jay Cunning & Move Ya dropped Play The Game on dancefloors across the world.
We Run Tings gained a number 1 spot in Jay Cunning's Kiss FM chart while staying in Beatports top 5 for weeks.
We Run Tings became a mammoth underground hit catching the imagination of Ministry Of Sound. Their A n'R
department declared We Run Tings as having massive commercial potential and immediately set up a deal and
signed the track. Watch this space for a future re-recording and big name remixes.
Beat Assassins are now set to kick off 2008 with their long awaited "Generation MTV Ft Nine Lives The Cat
backed by a Plaza De Funk remix. Their DJ performances are in demand across the globe with bookings
coming in from Canada, Spain, Estonia, London, Brighton and across the UK.
STAMINA MC
Stamina has toured the world extensively over the last few years alongside
DJ Marky, in addition to
performing with a variety of other DJ’s, and in fact, performing DJ gigs himself.
After the success of DJ Marky & XRS’s track ‘LK’ and D.Kay & Epsilon’s ‘Barcelona’
both which featured Stamina’s vocals, the MC’s career skyrocketed and has
brought him all over the globe: to Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, the USA,
Japan, and of course all over the UK and Europe and beyond.
Stamina was also for a time touring as vocalist for London Electricity Live and
has since moved on to open himself up to offers with a variety of artists.
With his smooth vocal stylings it’s fair to say Stamina, above all other drum’n’bass MC’s,
has had a great crossover appeal that has brought him to a wider worldwide audience.
With his style he’ll make a great accompanyment to the finest d’n’b nights on offer.
