I am making a research for my university’s project. In this research I am trying to find out – which of the three given methods of sound content creation (electronic sound design, musical composition, and natural recordings soundscape) establish the best connection with the given piece of the contemporary installation art.
The piece of installation art I have chosen for the accomplishment of this project is exposition of installation of an important German artist Joseph Beuys, housed in Tate Modern (London) in Poetry and Dream department. In this message I will give you some links on articles and videos for this installation. I will also give you links for three mp3 files containing the audio material I have managed to create for this project.
All you need to do is:
- Read the articles (you may skip this if you do not have enough time)
- Watch the video
- Think
- Listen to the audio compositions provided (Musical, Natural, Electronic)
- Answer the following questions
1) Which of the three given compositions describe the installation piece the most faithfully and truly?
2) Why?
3) Send your answers to ##hidden## or my facebook profile
The whole process should take about 20 minutes. If you are interested in art, then it will be interesting and entertaining for you. If you are not then this process may generate some interest in art in you.
